Sculptural pieces are at the heart of my creativity. When I am sculpting I feel the most connection to clay. These moments of slowly creating meaningful pieces are at the heart of my practice and journey and when I understand what clay is teaching me.

Every year I create sculptures for exhibitions, collectors and commissions.  I would be delighted to show you pieces that are available at the studio and to talk through your commission requirements.   Click on the links below to see available pieces and details.

(M)otherhood Collection September - November 2025

Byrne Contemporary

A narrative show including artworks by Ghislaine Howard, Amy Shuckburgh, Daisy Rogers Byrne and Lisa Stevenson.

In this narrative sculptural collection, each piece serves as a heartfelt tribute to the healing and transformative power of the tears that parents experience with and for their children.  The ‘Rivulets’ and ‘River of Tears’ are filled with tears of joy, wonder, hope, pride, reflecting the gift of children and for some, sadness, pain, and profound sorrow - reflecting the deep connections we share throughout life’s ups and downs.

We walk through these carved paths with our children and then separately. For those of us who have faced the loss of a child, the separation comes unnaturally. My own experience of losing my son has imbued each moment a tear rolls down my cheek with a deeper significance, reminding me of the unbreakable bond that remains, even when our children are with us in our hearts rather than holding our hands.

The joy that my heart holds now for my daughters reflects the space hollowed out by each drop and ‘Mystery of Tears’.  Soulful’ is what remains when the tears have dried. This journey of grief and love has inspired me to celebrate all the beautiful moments and the sometimes profound nature of parenthood.  These pieces honour the heartfelt joy and heartache that define my journey in and through motherhood.

'A Journey through Clay' Collection  Summer 2025

Allen Gallery
Hampshire Cultural trust

Building a relationship with the Allen Gallery in creating "A Journey through Clay,' represented a first solo exhibition and residency.  This collaboration provided an opportunity to bring live ceramic demonstrations and workshops to the gallery, whilst being an artist in residence.  The installation was designed in such a way to show the evolution and stages of clay together with my interpretation of clay's teaching and wisdom.  Set against the backdrop of the world class Allen ceramics collection, this exhibition aimed to present clay and ceramics in an explorative way to provide context to the visitor of the journey that clay, the ceramicist and each piece goes through together.

Creating moments of personal reflection drawing upon my own personal experiences of grief and life events to show how we can also be shaped, and choose to change, adapt and thrive.  The exhibition provided visitors an opportunity to experience three key journeys through clay.

  • Clay's life stages, its journey to become ceramic and how its lifecycle represents our own.

  • The journey of a ceramicist,  showing the evolution of a practice, aesthetic and the experience of growing and changing through clay. Sharing the impact on wellbeing and processing of emotions through the medium.

  • An invitation for each visitor to start their own journey through clay, with a free gift of a ball of clay and clay table to explore the medium.

  • A final event where, " A journey through clay' - an experience, was created sharing reflections, poetry and demonstrations.

The whole exhibition was free to the public and was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Spring Collection April - June 2025

The journey of my spring collection unfolds as a story of resilience and transformation, a poem to the emergence from the heavy embrace of winter. This collection captures the essence of survival through the storms of life, where each piece tells a story of strength forged through the healing process of grief. The designs, often hidden beneath with their intricate carvings, reflect the unseen depths of change and the silent

battles fought in the shadows.

This collection started in the winter, literally and figuratively. Clay takes time to evolve as have the ideas behind this collection. They have been within me for many years and slowly just as spring shoots break the hard

earth they have finally come to the surface.  The process started with the idea of a series of four pictures to

represent the last fifteen years. The first in this series embodies broken dreams, a poignant reminder of the moment everything shifted when you moved away. I then felt the rivers of tears carve rivulets into my soul for a

long time, each drop a testament to the healing beauty that would eventually emerge from the pain. As time flowed on, the memories of our dreamlike life together became burnished in my heart, creating a sense of

peacefulness as healing began to take root. The deeper carvings of this collection signify the wintering period, a time marked by a life less superficial and perfect. It was carving in this stillness that the gift of grief

revealed layers of emotion and understanding.

As spring finally breaks through, the burnished gold of the “Spring Equinox" sculpture symbolises a new sense of life. As the collection emerged pieces are adorned with the few internal scars of winter, each one a

chapter. The pieces bring softness from the hardest of surfaces, bringing life and a renewed spirit. Flowers, etched into stone, symbolise the beauty that arises from the depths of sorrow, while captured tears serve as

reminders of our journey.  Spring brings with it a promise of blossom, hope, peace, and tranquility—a

celebration of life.  In this collection, each piece resonates with the truth that through grief and transformation, we can emerge radiant, ready to embrace the beauty of what lies ahead as we embrace the spring blossom.
