Price: £225 (Includes all clay, tools, glazes, firings, and festive evening refreshments) Dates: 14th April then 21st, 28th and 5th May.(4-Week Introductory Course) Timings: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Availability: Highly limited (6 spaces for an intimate workbench setting) The Course Overview I invite you to step away from the day to day rush and join me for a relaxed, fully immersive 4-week introduction to hand building. Together at my workbench, we will explore the whole process of handling clay, mark-making, and creating a hand-built piece completely from scratch. Over four connected weeks, I’ll guide you through clay preparation, rolling techniques, and shaping your pieces, giving you the skills to design a beautiful, custom mix-and-match tapas set for your winter table spreads. • Week 1 & 2 (The Making): We will start with raw clay blocks. I'll demonstrate how to roll your clay smoothly and teach you the foundational handbuilding techniques to form organic, wave-like edges and shape your functional pieces. • Week 3 (The Surface Design): This week is all about finding your signature style. I will demonstrate four different surface techniques—including hand-carving, sgraffito, and underglazes—so you can add beautiful, tactile textures to your work. • Week 4 (The Glazing Night): Time to bring your designs to life. You will coat your fired pieces in my signature, pooling Mediterranean-inspired glazes, ready for their final high-gloss firing. The Sensory Studio Experience This course is so much more than just a practical lesson—it’s a warm, social evening out. While we work, the studio will be kept cozy by a roaring log fire with lovely music playing. To keep us inspired, all materials and evening refreshments are fully included—featuring a well-deserved glass of Cava on our final glazing night. Everything will be fired and beautifully packaged, completely ready for summer evenings at home with your friends.
