What could be nicer than producing your very own 10 piece tapas set. You can choose from a variety of shapes and sizes of moulds as we form using slab building. You will be able to choose 3 large pieces, 4 medium and three small, to create a mix and match service. During the four weeks expect:- Week 1 & 2: Preparing clay, rolling clay, using forms and building your pieces Week 3: Surface design, choose from carving, sgraffito and underglazes to create your own signature style. Week 4: Glazing your pieces. These will then be fired all ready for summer evenings with friends. This is a 4 week introduction to hand building, including preparation and clean up. Understand the tools, techniques and practice of handling the clay, mark making, designing and creating a hand built item from scratch. With a demonstration of how to roll clay, and four different surface design techniques, this fun filled course is going to get you inspired for summer dishes and entertaining. Clay is messy! Please wear old clothes and bring your own apron. For further information regarding what you need to bring please ensure you read our sections on health and safety and studio use. All materials and refreshments are included as well as a glass of Prosecco on glazing night to give us inspiration. Course starts 15th, 22nd, 29th January & 6th May, 7 - 10pm
