NEW for 2026 following the launch of the Journey through clay - ritual sets. Twice a month the studio will be open for two hour slots on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, these sessions are designed for you to bring and enjoy your ritual set, meet other club members and experience the rituals of beginning, creating, transforming and letting go in an inspiring, relaxed setting. To become a member you need to buy a ritual set. Following this you will be able to book club sessions online. What you can expect in your 2 hour session:- - A 20 minute guided ritual and demonstration to provide inspiration for the session, using seasonal inspiration from the garden and studio - 90 minutes within the studio setting, where you will find clay books, magazines, different tools, molds, prints, stencils, all available for you to try complimenting your own ritual set tools. - A designated seat and work bench for you to spread out your set and start whatever ritual set works best for you. - 10 minutes at the end for tidy up and wipe down. - A place to meet fellow clay enthusiasts and friends whilst enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the studio and English garden, with wildflower meadow, bee hives and Victorian greenhouse. - Coffee / tea and cake and biscuits by the log fire when it is cold and in the greenhouse on warm days. - As a club member you can receive the following discounts on the day of your session:- 10% off any ceramics within the studio 5% off any course that you wish to book 20% off the Journey through clay - guide ( PDF) version - If you recommend a friend who joins the 'Journey through clay' club and you will receive a free session when your friend books for the first time, so you can come along together. Additional services that you can tap into:- - If you have created a piece with your clay from the ritual set that you wish to glaze and fire this can be arranged for you. Price confirmed on request but will range from £15 - £30 depending on the size of the piece. - If you wish to buy more clay to supplement your set you can purchase direct from the studio at £7.50 per kilo Just to let you know a few things that are not included in the club:- - this is a self led session following the guided ritual, there no further formal tuition included - there is no shelf storage facility within the studio to leave pieces that you are working on - aprons are not provided so please bring along your own
